Janet Ferguson
Janet Ann Ferguson, 87, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at her residence. She was born on September 24, 1936, in Van Lear, KY. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Sarah (Simpson) Ditty, her brother Eddie Ditty, her sister Carolina Sue Sinclair and her husband Ford Ferguson. She is survived by her sister, Robyn (Larry) Gannon, her brother Donnie (Ursula) Ditty, her son J.C. Ferguson, her daughter Suellen (Keith) Flora and grandchildren, Cecily, Rebekah, Rachael, James, Ben, and Jon.

Janet was a teacher at East Elementary in the Waverly City School District (Ohio) for most of her education career teaching 3rd grade. She was a member and past president of ADK teacher sorority.

Janet fiercely loved and was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren. She spent much of her retirement enjoying time spent with them.

Janet was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all. She was much loved and will be missed every day.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
