Katherine Louise Townsend, 76, widow of Eddie True Townsend, died May 23, 2023. Born on May 27, 1946 in Irvine KY, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Evalee Brookshire Brandenburg. Katherine was a homemaker and a member of the Sand Hill Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Stacy (Wayne); her son, Bobby (Christina)Whitaker; four grandchildren, Justin (Kristi) Whitaker, Bobby Whitaker, Jr., Amber Lynn (Ron) Cammarata and Daniel “Cody” (Christina) Kneese; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Chrisman and several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her husband and parents, Katherine was preceded in death by one son, Terry Whitaker and a sister, Ethel Brandenburg. Services will be conducted at 10:30am Friday May 26, 2023 at Kerr Brothers -Main Street with burial to follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 9am-10:30am Friday.
