Billy Harrison

Billy Walker Harrison, 75, of Berea, formerly of North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023. He was born October 13, 1947 in Waneta, Jackson County, Ky. Billy was the son of the late Walker and Minervia Sparks Harrison. A U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, Billy served his country from 1967-1969. Billy was employed by IBM for 31 years, 1973-2002, providing services for them in Lexington, KY; Boca Raton, FL; and Research Triangle Park in Raleigh, Durham, North Carolina. Billy was an avid golfer and PGA fan, and loved to bass fish and play tennis. He did anything he could for other people, especially the elderly. Billy was a jack of all trades and used his talents to ease the hardships of others. Everyone who knew Billy loved him. He was an incredibly kind man who was known for his honesty, loyalty, and dependability. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Kriste Preston Harrison; his beloved daughter, Brittany Nicole Harrison; stepson, Kenneth Duane Robinson; two nephews, (Jabo) Merrell John Harrison Jr. and John Henry McCorkle; two nieces, Shelly Brown and April Dawn Harrison; as well as many close and loved friends and family. Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Merrell John Harrison, Paul Robert Harrison, Donald Ray Harrison, and Timmy Wayne Harrison, and sisters Judy Harrison Isaacs and Drucilla Harrison.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday January 30th, 2023 from 11am-12pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Main St. Lexington KY, with a memorial service to follow at 12pm. Burial of ashes will take place at Camp Nelson National Cemetery Nicholasville, KY at 2:30PM the same day.
