Don Abrams
Funeral Time: Wednesday, January 25th at 10:00AM
Don Abrams, 71, of Georgetown, beloved husband of Nanette Abrams, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born March 22, 1951, in Lexington, a son of Lois Jeffrey of Georgetown and the late Paul Abrams. Don was the owner and operator of E-Z Cut Lawn Care which enabled him to enjoy his love for the outdoors. Anyone who knew Don knew of his affection for being outside, whether it be working, fishing, hunting, or “piddlin”. Don was a true craftsman at anything he did, always staying busy. He was a member of Southland Christian Church in Georgetown and a loyal UK basketball fan. Don also had a soft spot in his heart for children, especially his grandchildren, the elderly, and also for animals. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by: a son, Troy Graham Abrams (Lindsey) of Georgetown; two daughters, Chelsey Elam (Josh) of Lexington, and Brooke Myers (Bryce) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Dylan, Isabella, and Tyler Graham Abrams, Carter Graham Elam, Kenna and Kason Myers; a brother, Lynn Abrams (Mary) of Lexington; and his best friend and cousin, Kenny Abrams of Frankfort. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Kelly Abrams; cousin, Peggy Abrams; and his second father, Steve Jeffrey. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Rd. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 24th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Josh Elam, Bryce Myers, Jeff Abrams, Dylan Abrams, Logan Goodwin, and Luke Abrams. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Abrams, Lynn Abrams, Kenny Abrams, and Gary Abrams. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Wounded Warrior Project.
