Joan Warrick Padgett

Joan Warrick Padgett
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born July 19, 1943. Joan and her twin sister Jane were adopted as infants by Luke Martin and Carrie Repass Warrick and grew up in Washington College, Tennessee. She met her husband Wilford Allen Padgett in Georgetown, Kentucky, and they were married for over 58 years. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed their company and spending time with them.

She passed away at the age of 79 and is survived by her husband Will Padgett, son Martin Padgett (Sue) residing in Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter Martha Crady (Kevin) residing in Lexington, Kentucky, and grandkids Justin, Cassidy, and Kelly Padgett. She is also survived by her twin sister Jane Devault residing in Washington College, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents Luke Martin Warrick and Carrie Repass Warrick. She retired from Fayette County School System as a teacher's aide and lived in Lexington KY raising her family. She loved to read, crotchet, and spending time with her karaoke friends. She and the family were so happy when she received her kidney transplant 16 years ago and this allowed her to enjoy her life and her family up until her death.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 5pm – 8pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. Funeral Services will be held 10:30am Monday, November 28, 2022, also at the funeral home. A committal service and burial will take place at 1:00pm at Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana, KY.
