Anthony Thomas Gaughan
Mr. Anthony Thomas Gaughan, 74, husband of Margaret “Peggy” Mefford Gaughan, passed away Tuesday, April 26, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born May 1, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Rose Schaedel Gaughan. Anthony “Tony” was a graduate of Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations. His career included multiple positions in national and local beer associations. He served as president of the Kentucky Beer Association and as treasurer and later president of the national Welsh Terrier Club of America. Tony recently retired from Berkshire Hathaway Home Services de Movellan Properties in Lexington, Kentucky. Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Anthony Todd (Alison) Gaughan; two granddaughters, Sydney Tobin and Payton Nicole Gaughan, all of St. Louis, Missouri, and a brother, Dennis (Gloria) Gaughan of Bonita Springs, FL. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Gaughan will be held at a later date. Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of the arrangements.
