John A. Tuttle

John A. Tuttle, age 95 of Lexington, widower of Betty Jean Burdine Tuttle, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Brookdale Richmond Place. He was born in Lexington on October 26, 1925, the son of the late Isaac N. and Tommie Curry Tuttle. A lifelong member of Broadway Christian Church, where he served as Deacon, John was a retired farmer having raised tobacco and cattle and building barns. When he wasn’t farming, he hauled coal as a coal dealer. John will be remembered for being a loving father who also enjoyed square dancing, as well as loving his two four-legged buddies, “Dusty” and “Nugget”. He is survived by: a daughter, Rebecca Tuttle (Mark) Beam of Lexington; a son, John Mark (Carol) Tuttle of Lexington; two nephews, Robert Fletcher of Texas, and Nick Strong of Nicholasville; and a niece, Karla Martello of Nicholasville. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Monday, June 14, 2021 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 10:30-12:30 Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504.
