Stuart Taylor Swartz
Funeral Time: Thursday, January 14th at 12:30PM
Stuart Taylor Swartz, son of the late Taylor and Edna Swartz of Owingsville (Bath County), died on January 11th in Lexington, at 82. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathie, and a sister, Carolyn Maner.Stuart is survived by his daughters Lissa Racer (Scott) and Stacey Swartz, three grandchildren, Chelsea Lawson (Brad), Kyle Racer, and Peyton Martina; and three great grandchildren, Crue, Boden and Behr Lawson. Stuart is survived by his mother-in-law, Bettie Taylor Robinson; and a brother-in-law, Clay Robinson and a niece, Lesley Maner, all of whom he was very fond of. Stuart was a Parris Island marine. Later, his company commander was the Frankfort political legend, Fontaine Banks, Jr., COL USMC (Ret). A proud veteran of the Corps, Stuart also was a seasoned veteran of the apparel industry. He enjoyed most, his stint as national sales manager for Bill Blass Sportswear. Always the best dressed man in the room, Stuart was the quickest tongue, and had an undeniable gift for making people laugh. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Marine Corps League Dan Daly Detachment, 941 Gregory Way, Lexington, KY 40514.
