JONATHAN V. URSOS (1954 – 2020)

Jonathan “Jon” V. Ursos, beloved husband of Mary Grace of Lexington KY, joined our Creator on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. He was 66 years old.
He was a loving father to 7 children, Carolyn (Jonel), Bryan (Angeli), Clarissa (Denver), Carla Grace, Jonne Louise, Fritz Lawrence and Jonathan Jr and grandfather to Yvez James and Brent Angelo. He is also survived by his mother, Nena and his sisters Lorna, Grace and Merlyn and his brother Ben. He was preceded in death by his father Sergio in 1984 and his eldest brother Rodney in 2012.
Jonathan was born on August 19, 1954 at Calatrava, Negros Occidental, Philippines. He spent his childhood there. As a young man, he took up a career in business and commerce. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Real Estate Broker. He worked at Republic Planters Bank and Rural Bank of Victorias prior to setting up his own accounting and brokerage office – J.V.Ursos and Associates and moved on to public practice in accounting and real estate. For the majority of his working career, he served his clients by giving consultancy, bookkeeping, taxation, auditing and real estate services. A son of a US Navy, he got his US citizenship in 2011. With his wife Mary Grace and four children, they migrated to United States of America where they settled down in Lexington, Kentucky. People who know Jonathan, see him as a family man who loves spending time with his wife and kids. He takes pleasure in taking the family out to dinner or travelling during vacations. His children look up to him and consider him the soul provider of the family, God-fearing and a true follower of Christ. He spent most of his final days with his four youngest children and wife Mary Grace.
Family and friends are invited to come for viewing at 10:00 – 11:00 am, September 19, 2020 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home at 3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513. A celebration of life service follows at 11:00-12:00pm. Thomas Green will be officiating.
