W.T. Fizer
Funeral Time: Monday, August 3rd at 1:30PM
W.T. “Teddy” Fizer of Lexington, husband of Barbara Hedrick Fizer for 38 years and the late Linda Dunn Fizer, left to be with Jesus on July 30th, 2020 after years of fighting multiple illnesses. Teddy was 76 years old. Born May 12th, 1944 to the late Minnie Irvin Fizer and the late Stanley Fizer, Sr., he is survived by 5 daughters and 1 son: Bonnie Fizer (Larry) Kidd, Connie Fizer (Sean) Haney, Gina Fizer (Chano) Moreno, Tammi Hedrick (Greg) Johnson, Jamie Hedrick (Jim) Powell, and Andrew (Casey Potts) Hedrick; sixteen grandchildren, Nick (Mikhail Proctor) McDowell, Shawn (Sarah) Kidd, Tara Kidd, Heather Ennis, James (Amanda) Peacock, Juana Moreno, Jessica (Selena) Moreno, Lindsay Peacock, Todd (Regina) Johnson, Emily (Matt) Poteet, Boone Potts, Hayden Potts and Cooper Potts and several great-grandchildren, and his brother Wallace Earl Fizer of Lexington. Teddy is preceeded in death by his parents, a brother Stanley Fizer, Jr. and a great-granddaughter Elena Kidd.

Much loved by everyone, Teddy was a proud deacon at Grace Baptist Church in Lexington. He took over Stanley Fizer, Inc. as owner of an established HVAC company after the death of his father. His many skills included electrician, plumbing and licensed boiler technician and a very healthy green thumb. Teddy had the ability to build anything from the ground up, including cars, a house or a boiler without ever looking at a plan. He loved fishing, gardening and was an avid vintage car enthusiast. Mostly he loved spending time with the children and their families.

The funeral will be held Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, KY, 40507, officiated by retired Pastor Terrance Freeman and current Pastor Steven R. Price of Grace Baptist Church. All who attend visitation and funeral must wear a mask and observe social distancing protocols in accordance with state recommendations. The funeral home is currently operating at 50% capacity due to these regulations. Visitation will be 11:00 am till 1:00 pm with services starting at 1:30 pm., with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at 2089 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY, 40504. Pallbearers are Nick McDowell, Mikhail Proctor, Sean Haney, Todd Johnson, Shawn Kidd and Andrew Hedrick. Additional pallbearers are sons-in-law Larry Kidd, Greg Johnson, Jim Powell and Chano Moreno, with honorary pallbearers and the deacons of Grace Baptist Church.
