She is survived by her husband George of 61 years; her sons Charles George Ducas (Valerie) of Louisville, KY and Christopher Andrew Ducas, (Tisha) of Nicholasville, KY; and her grandchildren, Emily Beth, Anna Leigh, Natalie June, George Wells, Christopher Isaac, Pierce Andrew Ducas and her brother Christopher Andrews (Nancy) of New York, New York.
She was a positive, energetic, fun loving mother, grand-mother and teacher; her three most cherished roles. After completing undergraduate studies at Lesley University, Marianthy taught at Bayshore private school in Miami, FL. After a pause from full-time teaching to raise Charles and Christopher, she was a substitute teacher in Winchester, KY for over two decades where she shared her gift for teaching, encouragement and love for others. Marianthy was a passionate lover of life, family, friends, teachers, children and the Lord. She was a long standing member of the Holy Mother Queen of All Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society (Friends of the Poor) in Lexington, KY.

Our family would like to thank everyone at Brookdale-Richmond Place for the kind and loving care given to our mother these past few years. Her personal caregivers were a blessing to all of us.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be made to Holy Mother Queen of All Greek Orthodox Church, 3001 Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
