John Will Shouse, Jr.

John Will Shouse, Jr., 84, died Jan. 6, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Born Jan. 5, 1935, he was the son of the late John W. Shouse, Sr. and Ethel Lee Inman Shouse. Mr. Shouse proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Shouse Optical Service. He was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church and a member of the Lexington Lions Club for over 50 years and served as District Governor. Survivors include three children, Jacki Shouse, Mark (Christa) Shouse, and Angela (Brennan) Royalty; nine grandchildren, Michael (Anne) Lindsey, Emily Lindsey, Tara Smith, Katelin Shouse, Allison Shouse, Gabi Dubilier, Alex Dubilier, Kate Royalty and Reese Royalty; four great grandchildren, Shane Lindsey, Cade Lindsey, Michael Lindsey and Carter Perkins; and one sister, Karen (Stephen) Ryker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be 11 am Mon., Jan. 14 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Tommy Simpson. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Sun., Jan. 13 at the funeral home.
