Russell Adair

Lexington- Adair, Russell C., 86, of Lexington passed away on October 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1932 in Lexington, KY to the late Richard and Katherine Hendricks Adair.

He is survived by his Wife of 68 years, Kathleen Atwell Adair; children: Steve Adair (Susan), Mike Adair (Connie), David Adair (Lisa), and Kathy Jayne Adair; grandchildren, Brittany Wethington (Ryan), Christian Adair (Colbey), Tara Penn (Jason), Michael Adair (Sara), Holly Adair, Tyler Adair (Cynda), Brandon Durr (Stephanie), and Shawn Durr (Morgan); great-grandkids, Blakely Wethington, Charlotte Wethington, Jaeden Penn, Kylon Penn, Sophia Adair, Micah Adair, Clara Adair, Madisyn Adair, DJ Hamlin, Colton Durr, Gabriel Durr, and Gideon Durr; sister, Sally Pearson; sister-in-law, Margaret Adair; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Diana Russell.

Russell was an Airman 1st Class in the 648th Aircraft and Warning Squadron in the United States Air Force. He proudly served for a year in the Korean War. Russell was a member of North View Baptist Church, and a Lexington firefighter for 5 years. He devoted his life to interior decorating and remodeling.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 12, 2018 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home Main Street. Burial to follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Main Street. Pallbearers will be: Jaeden Penn, Richard Green, Ryan Wethington, Michael, Christian, and Tyler Adair.
