Kelly, Clement F (Clem) Jr. 92, died September 11, 2018. Born in Lexington KY, Clem was the son of the late Clement F. and Flora Kelly, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann, who founded the Barbara Annís School of Dance, brothers Jack and Tommy and sister Martha Magruder. Clem graduated from Henry Clay High School and served as a proud marine specializing as a B-19 tail gunner in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. After attending the University of Kentucky he operated several businesses in Lexington, sold real estate, managed family coal property in Eastern KY and enjoyed owning and traveling with his thoroughbred horses in his retirement. His greatest pleasures were enjoying the company of his Friday night dinner group and traveling with his close group of friends. Survivors include his daughter Clemmy Ann Bastin (Willis) and his son Kevin Kelly (Vicki); grandchildren Kevin Kelly, Jr.(Renee), Kaitlyn Kelly Gullikson (Robert), Andrew Kelly and Marshall Bastin; and five great grandchildren. Clem also cherished 28 wonderful years of companionship with Frances Whitman who shared, and was adopted by, her gracious and loving family. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. at Christ the King Cathedral on Tuesday, Sept. 18th immediately followed by a reception at the church then a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. on Monday, Sept. 17th from 5 to 8 p.m.
