Funeral Time: Monday, April 16th at 10:30AM
DAY, Wanda Lue, 59, passed away April 11, 2018 and will be deeply missed by the love of her life, her husband Donald Day, whom she married at age 14 years old. Wanda and Donald celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year surrounded by their children and grandchildren. Wanda was a native of Jessamine County, KY, born October 6, 1958, to the late Zack Raymond Hopkins, Sr. and Margaret Mary Loretta Ann Spinnewebber Hopkins. Wanda was self-employed and owned Better Built Quality Homes with her husband, Donald. She loved her husband, sons and grandchildren. Wanda was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory children, Donald Day II (Tracy) and Tony Day (Missy Sewell); grandchildren, Tony Allen Day, Maria Day, Donald Day III and Tyler Day “The Golden Child”. Also surviving are sisters, Jean Hopkins Day (Jerry), Joan Hopkins Drury (Roger), Rosie Hopkins Saylor; brother, Johnny Hopkins (Helen); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence, Jimmy, Billy, Ernie Sr., Michael and Zack “Cotton” Hopkins; and a sister, Elizabeth “Sue” Hopkins Tuggle. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Mon., Apr. 16, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Sun. at the funeral home. Honoring Wanda as pallbearers will be: Tony Allen Day, Donald Day III, Tyler Day, Lee Hopkins, Ethan Hopkins, Bryan Tuggle, Thomas Saylor, Donnie Ray West and Eastin Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ernie Lee Hopkins, Maggie Taylor, Clay Corman, Rodney Brown, Ben Holbrook, Ricky Blackford, Tammy Horton, Teresa Brown, Jill Hensley, Brenda Harrison, Shannon Hopkins, and Mary Fain.
