McCoy, Alma Leigh Estep, 82, wife of Leonard Ferrell McCoy, died Mar. 13, 2018 at her residence in Lexington, KY. Born Aug. 2, 1935 in Edgarton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vonice Davis Estep. Mrs. McCoy was a graduate of Magnolia Matewan High School, played the piano at church when she was young, and was a member of Liberty Church of God since 1981. Alma was a loving wife and mother, always setting a wonderful example for her family. She was a naturally beautiful, elegant, and graceful lady, who had high standards for herself and lived them out. She and Leonard had a story book romance and were married 65 years. Survivors other than her husband include a daughter, Benita (David) McCoy-Lyons, Richmond, KY; son, Kevin (Peggy) McCoy, Georgetown, KY; brother, Jackie Thomas Estep (Gail, deceased), Phelps, KY and their son, Shawn Estep, Frankfort, KY; daughter-in-law, Joan (Thomas) McCoy, Winchester, KY; brother-in-law, Herman McCoy; sister-in-law, Loretta McCoy, Nicholasville, KY; eight grandchildren, Joshua McCoy, Jordan (Adina) McCoy, Jacob (Hope) McCoy, Amber (Daniel) White, Alex Sizemore, Austin Butler, Rachel McCoy and Ester McCoy; eleven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Charlotte, Elijah, Harrison, Enoch, Simeon, Ethan, Michael, Grant, Landon, and Leo. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas McCoy. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Sat., Mar. 17, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY. Entombment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri. at the funeral home.
