Harold Roger Crewey

CREWEY, Harold Roger, 67, husband of Billie Jean Parsons Crewey, died unexpectedly Mar. 12, 2018 in Biloxi, MS. Born Nov., 18, 1950 in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late Claude and Mattie Poston Crewey. Mr. Crewey was a graduate of Marion Senior High School, and obtained his Masters in Business Management from Charleston University. He retired in 2007 as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 32 years of service. Upon retiring, he served as a Joint Venture Contractor with the Special Operations Force Support Activity. Mr. Crewey held memberships with Smyth County Moose Lodge, Marion, VA, and the American Legion, Lexington, KY. Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Malissa (Jose) Contreras, Lexington, KY and Wendy (George) Hammack, Nicholasville, KY; three grandchildren, Trevor Crewey, Lexington, KY, Austin Hammack and Savannah Hammack, both of Nicholasville, KY; one sister, Gail Hayden; one niece, Sherry Hayden Gross; one great niece, Alli Gross; and one great nephew, Dustin Hayden, all of Marion, VA; and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Mon., Mar. 19, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Wally Rendel. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 pm Sun., Mar. 18 and 9-10:30 am Mon. prior to the service at the funeral home.
