Laura Morris
MORRIS, Laura Therese, 103, widow of Charles Morris, went home to be with her Lord Mar. 4, 2018 at Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, KY. Born Jan. 25, 1915 in Lincoln, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Antonina Indovina Alesio. Mrs. Morris was a hairstylist for 35 years, a volunteer for Hospice, and a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, John (Karin) Morris; a daughter, Mary Anne (Karen Miles) Morris, both of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Danielle Miller and Matthew Morris; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Yancey, Cody Morris, and Hailey Morris; three great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jennie Casey, Josephine Garrotto, and Mary Esposito; and a brother, Anthony Alesio. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30 am Wed., Mar. 7, at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4001 Victoria Way, Lexington, KY 40515 by Rev. Larry Hehman. Visitation will be 9-11 am Wed. at the church. Contributions are suggested to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504 or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Medical Center, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
