James Alexander Branham
Funeral Time: Wednesday, August 16th at 12:30PM
James Alexander Branham, 63, passed away on Aug. 10, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Jim graduated from Henry Clay High School and attended the University of KY. He worked for the C&O Railroad as a Conductor before taking a job at the Lexington Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic where he retired in 2010 as an Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal. He enjoyed spending time with his family “The Branham Clan”, his grandchildren and the guys at the “Coffee Club”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Hellen Branham. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Redding Branham; son, Kristopher (Kassie) Branham; daughter, Brittany (Justin) Dee; three grandchildren, Jackson and Kaitlyn Dee and Mason Branham; two brothers, Mike (Jody) Branham and David (Brenda) Branham; two sisters, Brenda (Rick) Hensler and Betty Lou (Jeff) Rodgers; a brother in law, Johnny (Marlene) Redding and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kristopher Branham, Justin Dee, David Branham, Mike Branham, Johnny Redding and Jeff Rodgers.
